Writing Skills

I learned to communicate information in a polite and professional manner through writing proposals. Completing the projects has also has taught me how to organize professional documents that are concise, clear to read and provide important information in a pleasing format for the organization to follow.

I learned how to document complex topics by managing and organizing information. I made good use of bullet points, headings and subheading. In addition, I separated work into different paragraphs and embolden key terms to organize ideas efficiently. Additionally, I learned the importance of proofreading and grammar checking and learned about different tools that can help me proofread my writing such as Grammarly.

Research Skills

Completing the Fast Fix and SEO project taught me a lot about researching. I learned to use key words, advance search filters, and videos to explore different content. Also, I have learned how to find relevant information from using different search engines and looking for unique topics while considering your targeted audience.

I have also learned how to check for a resource credibility using the EAT method. I checked the relevancy of my sources by looking at their references and links and by checking the publisher. Additionally, by working on the SEO device page, I learned how to find relevant information from manufacturer websites as they are more relevant than other third party website when looking for data about a specific device.

Problem Solving Skills

I have improved my skills in problem-solving by breaking down different projects into smaller parts and working on them one by one. I have also learned critical thinking by analyzing different types of information for both the SEO and Fast Fix project and thinking about my intended audience while doing research and learned to think critically about different solutions.

Soft Skills

Engaging in user testing and feedbacks improved my soft skills. User testing with a group taught me how to communicate ideas effectively with a team. I also learned how to be an active listener while participating in class and asking questions about different feedbacks I receive.
