What is iFixit Proposal
The iFixit proposals are official documents submitted to the iFixit Writing Team, seeking permission and approval for different pages. The main objective of writing a proposal was to clearly communicate specific ideas to the iFixit team in a straightforward manner. Consequently, I presented ideas to iFixit in a concise and structured format. I have outline detailed plans of various projects in the proposals, including the necessary equipment and resources required for their implementation. Through providing specific details of my projects, the aim of the proposals was to ensure that our pages were well-defined and feasible for the iFixit team.
Procedural Stages
Layout Structure
I started the proposals with providing my contact information for the team and writing a general structure for my page.
Documentation
I wrote my proposals by introducing my ideas and explaining what I will include in the main project.
Organizing Writing
I have provided specific reasons for the need of my device page and the audience who will benefit from it in a clear and concise tone, as well as organized my content in different paragraph for reader clarity.
Closing Paragraph
I ended my proposal by writing a small paragraph directly for iFixit in a formal and appropriate language, asking their approval on the proposal.
Reflection
From writing the proposals I have learned how to organize a professional document that is clear to read and provides important information which is also pleasing on the eyes for the organization to follow.
Also, I have improved my skills in professional writing and communicating and learned how to write in professional manner by using formal wording and good punctuation as well as communicating information in a polite manner. I have also gained skills in how to communicate with the readers when topics are complex by separating work into different paragraphs and divide them into smaller sections. I used different fonts and organized different ideas so readers would understand important key topics of my proposal.
